Quick Essays: Minimum Time, Maximum Concentration and Focus

When a student hears the phrase “quick essay”, he/she thinks of a simple activity, which is not too time-consuming and requires little efforts.

However, such type of writing as quick essay should not be underestimated. Even though it is to be completed in a comparatively short term, quick essay demands maximal concentration and focusing from its author. 

In order to be successful at writing quick essays, one can use the following plan:

  • Choose a topic

Try to choose a topic, which is easy to open. Make sure it is narrowed enough, and you will manage to discuss it fully in your quick essay

  • Make a plan

Make a simple plan for your quick essay. It may contain 4 to 7 points, such as: introduction, thesis statement, argument1, argument2, discussion, conclusion.

  • Write an essay

Develop 3 to 5 sentences for every point of plan. Pay equal attention to every plan in order to make your quick essay interesting. Remember of the time limit; each part should not take more than 2 minutes.

  • Name your quick essay

After the content of your quick essay is defined, it is easy for you to give it a name. Try to choose a catchy name, so that it would make others want to read your quick essay.

  • Check the grammar

Read your quick essay from beginning to the end. Pay special attention to grammar. Check the complex structures.

  • Check the punctuation

Make sure all the punctuation marks are put right in the text. Avoiding mistakes in punctuation is a very important detail for such type of writing as quick essay.
